Orlando Disney AI Event

Hey - I have heard that Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando is opening a new attraction later this year called the American Idol Experience. It would involve daily audience participation with winners in a format like American Idol. I have also heard that the top five AI winners from this past season (which includeds Brooke) will be coming for a grand opening in January 2009.

Has anyone heard any info about this? I have some feelers out in the Orlando area (where I live) but I wondered if anyone here has heard anything.

I think I heard something about this but hadn't heard anything about the top 5 going there for the opening. I might just have to find a way to get to Orlando!!!!

I'm a HUGE disney fan and I used to work out there... but if you go to their site.. it will show you a bit more about the attraction. You actually have the chance to audition and if they like you, you get to go past the producers for the next season and go straight to the judges to audition!

ok..so... here's a little secret I will tell you all.. the bandwagon team was actually planning on taking a trip around that time when the idols would be there in addition.. as holding an event for Malaria No More there! Anyone interested in actually getting this started???? Let me know!

As soon as we know the timing for sure, I am SO in! I'll have to start looking for cheap plane tickets asap, so as soon as the date is confirmed, please let us know!!!

Maybe we can all try to stay at the same place. That will be great. I have quite a few friends that work at disney...and my great great uncle used to be the treasurer of the whole disney company..

so I will find out the specific dates and get back to you all!

i also know that they have disney marathons in Jan..if it's all around the same time..we could raise money and run/cheerlead for MNM.

29 December 2007: ABC Theater new show to be "The Stars of Hollywood Hills"?

The ABC Theater has been walled off now for several months whilst the interior is being refurbished to make way for a new show. No information on the new show has been officially released, however a couple of strong rumors suggest the new show will be either an "American Idol" type show, or a permanent home for the High School Musical. The project is currently being referred to as "The Stars of Hollywood Hills". The theater refurbishment is set to be complete early February 2008, but there is currently no information on when the actual new show will debut. Remember, this information is speculation, and is not yet officially confirmed.

well, when the time comes..we can start to make arrangements! I have a few connections that I'm working on to make hotels cheaper! I also have connections with someone that has a mansion out there..only thing is you have to pay for parking etc..

if you get the whole package w/ the meal plan,tickets and hotel (staying on property is MUCH cheaper) you will save some money.

Emily..you should be able to get a disability pass so you don't have to wait in lines for the rides.

Hey everyone! Emily just told me about this...You guys know how I am with getting confused...right? lol. Well, so is this saying that we can have another meeting with Brooke in January or some time this year???? In Orlando??? Is that right??? Ohhhhhh!!! If it's right...I'm totally saving up ALL of my babysitting money! lol! I really hope that I can go to this! I'm gonna begin my praying! Thanks so much for all this information!
